Welcome all in our esteemed institution of Ayurveda. Ayurveda is a unique science which emphasis on prevention of disease and maintenance of health rather than treating the disease. And here we are happy to declare that our college and hospital is serving to the society through balance and harmony between Ayurved and allopath for maintenance of health.
Our S.G.R. Ayurved College, Solapur is Government aided (Jain Minority) institute established in 1962. Our Seth Sakharam Nemchand Jain Ayurved Rugnalaya is established in 1917 located in the heart of city. Our College is recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi and affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. We run different regular University Courses for Graduate degree in Ayurveda (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery, B.A.M.S.), Postgraduate Courses in Ayurveda to award Doctor of Medicine/ Master of Surgery in Ayurveda i.e. M.D.(Ayu)/M.S.(Ayu) in respective subjects of Ayurved & Ph.D. in Ayurved Medicine.
Recently SSNJ trust has completed 100 years of our dedicated service in the field of imparting health & education in Ayurved. In all these years we have achieved a great academic success. Every year many of our students have scored distinction in various subjects in the university examination. Our students also participate and secured top positions in extracurricular activities which were carried out by various institutes across the country.
For giving best experience of reading to the students we have a good library with modern techniques and having lot of rare books. We also have well maintained herbal garden to flourish knowledge of medicinal plants. Working with an aim to provide best in academics and clinical excellence we organize various guest lectures, workshops, seminars, clinical and research meetings, visits of students to various renowned herbal gardens and scientific places & camps. Many Short term research project funded by MUHS Nashik have been carried out by our students under the direction of our renowned faculties. With academic excellence we also care for student’s complete progress and aiming to send them as a good human being to the society, so we arrange different NSS activities as well as cultural activities to enhance their hidden talent.
Our Seth Sakhram Nemchand Jain Rugnalaya has become icon for ayurvedic treatment for various diseases for patients from Solapur and its periphery. Our hospital is well equipped with capacity of 104 beds for in house treatment; the Out Patient Department attends to around 250 patients daily. Suvarna Prashan, Ksharsutra Therapy, Panchakarma Therapy, IOL Centre of this Hospital and physiotherapy has gained an excellent repute in the society.
